Live Your Life Your Way Challenge

Do you think RM 20/ RM 50 is worth to push yourself in setting goals and seriously taking action on it? How many people actually sit down and really set, plan and take action on achieving their goals?

The Live Your Life Your Way Challenge is specially organized for young people who dare to stride out by setting goals and realizing their dreams. HCE would like to create awareness to instill goal setting techniques into somebody to be ‘somebody’. It is utilized by top-level athletes, successful business-people and achievers in all fields. It focuses on individuals acquisition of knowledge and help them to organize time and resources so that they can make the very most of your life.

We will have two categories for the challenge: Entrepreneur Goal Setting & Personal Goal Setting

(a) Entrepreneur Goal Setting includes individuals who intend to set up a business in any field of commerce, with the main objective of achieving profit returns.
(b) Personal Goal Setting includes individuals who have goals which are not related to setting up a business but personal achievement

Best two candidates from each category will be entitled to attend the Self-Evaluation Workshop worth RM 300 on the 28th November 2009 as the start-up to determine the strengths and weaknesses of individuals to build their foundation. They will be given sufficient facilitation to realize their short terms goals by the mentor. In addition, they are entitled to attend 3 workshops which worth RM 500 from the organization to enhance their soft skills.

The goal setting presentation dates are in conjunction with the GEW 2009. Please select your preferred date and give your best account within the 15 minutes of presentation.
• 16/11/09 (Mon) – 12pm to 5pm
• 17/11/09 (Tues) – 12pm to 5pm
• 21/11/09 (Sat) - 2pm to 6pm

Selection Criteria (P.E.A.C.E)
• Presentation Skills
• Effectiveness of utilizing SMART Model in Goal Setting
• Action plan to realise the goals
• Creativity and innovative of action plan
• Enthusiasm and eagerness to realise plan


Procedures of Participation
Step 1 – Choose a preferred category, individual can participate in two categories
(a) Entrepreneur Goal Setting – form a group of 2 or 3 / individual is welcome
(b) Personal Goal Setting – must be on individual basis

Step 3 –Registration submission deadline is 13th November 2009

Step 4 - Prepare maximum 8 presentation slides to explain your goals and action plan in terms of short term (2 years) and long term (5 years)

Step 5 – Attend the goal setting challenge to present the slides for 15 minutes on your preferred dates and make the registration payment
(a) Entrepreneur Goal Setting – RM 50 per group
(b) Personal Goal Setting – RM 20 per person

Step 6 – Top 2 selected candidates of each category will be announced on the 22nd November 2009
