| Dear Elaine,
It was a pleasant surprise receiving your email and sms to inform that you just send an email. I personally think it’s a great effort on your behalf to do a special follow up on each and every participant of the workshop. Your style in doing this is certainly new and fresh and I do hope you will continue to succeed in what you attempt to achieve.
Honestly, I think it would be bragging if I wrote something about myself in the form you passed out the other day, so I just wrote whatever that came to mind first. I do love people who love me, but to think of it I don’t really mind loving someone who doesn’t like me, they probably got me mistaken or maybe it’s a chance to improve myself as to why they don’t like me and I can work with myself from there.
You made me realize a big part of me that I never seen before. The fact you matched my problem statement that I have time management issues to the fact that I do not want to work a 9 to 4 job daily. I do realize that I have to take measures to make sure I don’t end up with that job in the future. You have certainly got me thinking and I thank you for it.
Getting a mentor is probably a good idea, providing that I find a proper one who is able to guide me in the correct way. I will certainly keep in mind to search for a proper mentor (not from my family) to help me, and probably one day, when I get my things all straighten up, somebody would take me as a mentor.
You are a very energetic speaker and to know that you are so young has got me thinking to do something with my life. I honestly hope that you would not give up the things that you do because, it may not work for all of us and maybe we heard your guidelines prior to this, but certainly it is able to inspire at least one in the whole workshop is probably a good enough reason to continue. Many commented that they liked your session very much, so congratulations!
Keep up the good work!
Regards, Cynthia |

| Dear Elaine,
Thank you for your email. You are a very amazing person yourself, I respect that very much. I always wanted to succeed in many areas, therefore I always take on many jobs/tasks to see how well I can do. I am studying as well as working part-time, time maybe a problem for me at first and felt really stressful, but now, I don't feel anything negative, I guess I'm used to that already haha. Family is one problem that I cannot do anything about it. Apart from that,( work, money and academic) I am doing my best to achieve whatever I aim and what I want to do. Yes, time management skills is what I want to improve all along. Everything can be so packed in my schedule, and sometimes, I procrastinate. SMBC is a club that I never regretted to join. Alton and Cing Ji are friends that I never regretted knowing. I will utilize it fully, and do my job at my best. The workshop last saturday really got me thinking. "I already know that" is what I always say. I would like to thank you for the article. I will keep it as a motivation for myself, as well as a lesson to remind myself not to be so prideful. I would like to know you more, and we will keep in touch!
From, Harmmie. |

I was happy to have the opportunity to join the specialized training class without any fee payment. I learned in detail as compared to my college studies. Although I could not understand well from this class, I could still learn from what you taught. I acquired the skill of setting a target and achieving them one by one. Actually, I wasn’t sure what the subject all about was, but I could understand the message delivered by you. You taught us in setting goals and the step towards achieving them. Firstly, we are required to set a goal which is attainable. Nevertheless, I still lack of the courage to set a big goal. I am a lazy person and that’s the reason why I am scare. I hope that I am able to learn from you. Every time I see you, you are doing your work as if never stop doing your job. My current goal setting is to learn from you and I am sure what do I need know. I need to change myself with no more excuses.
This class taught us to stand in 4 different ways to perceive and provide feedback. The main objective is to create the awareness as not only to think in a single minded. During problem occurrence, we have to think through the 4 manners as to identify the problem and solve accordingly. In the class, I was so tired. If I was studying in college or high school, I would definitely sleep on the table. However, I could not allow myself to fall asleep in this session because I would like to learn and of course the speaker was so lively. I am learning to write in English by utilizing what I have learned. I have homework which needed to be completed with the doubt as whether can I accomplish. This is mainly due to the failure of doing my paper work. |

| Jeremy Kuan Winners and Losers. Admiting i'm wrong is one of my favourite. Cause i tend to be low confident when it comes to knowledge and facts. So i'll always apologize and admit it's my mistake. I think one of the reasons why i'm driven to improve and to get involve is the passion o please people. So realizing that that is my motivation, it'll do good for me. this might be one of the classes i might struggle with since i dont really set goals. but troughout, i think i can jus use the way to achieve goals in practically everything i do. and the 5 criterias that you listed out.. i feel it's quite relevant to me. so it's impactful. listing out the types of friends and categorizing them is useful as well. but of course i think i tend to hang out with only one group of friends. which is my temple friends. i guess at times, i'm more of a "i dont know that" compared to "i know that already" kind of guy. which makes me less confident. |

In this workshop, I am thought that the sentence "I already know that" kills, and also the new thing "I don't know" also kills... I was able to realize what have I been saying out from my mouth which I didnt even know all these years, I mean months....so it seems that I am content with the class as I know what position sense that I am currently in(not a good one). To say it more clearly, I was unable to do mind map properly as my pictures and writings to describe something seems to be a bit of cartoonish(in my point of view). So therefore, I need to improve on that.
For the last class, we laughed a lot, I didnt know I went out of the room for 2 to 3 times...my stomch hurts and I got something in my eyes >.< Somehow, I didn't die from it and we manage to survive it. Here, we plan about our future of what we are going to do. It is similar like asking a question of what do you want to be when you grow up. I can see that I have multiple goals in my life and I cannot achieve it without a proper planning. I need more manpower to "rule the world". I am happy with the session.

This course would be useful for a person to make their mind clear of what they want, as most people don’t think for their future. It’s a good platform for us to start thinking and moving towards the goal/dream.
This session certainly makes me think more before giving an answer. think like a winner and be a winner. I hope I could achieve it one day. however, I feel that maybe you should stress on what is the aim/goal. and have a proper/achievable goal which should apply the SMART system. thou I'm not here that time, but I learnt it before. at certain point of time, thou some people with no proper goal/aim will be part of our joke in class, but I certainly feels he/she should have a aim in life so that he could be success as well. =) |

After attending the second workshop, i will try to put myself to be more determination in doing things, and won't give up easily if i face any obstacles. For me, i tendsto do too many changes whenever i face a little problem instead of trying to see whether that problem can be solved. End up, i need a longer time to attain my goal because of too many changes in my plan. Besides that, though is easy to say failure can form opportunities. Unfortunately, currently i don't have this strength to think failure in a positive manners, and i will start to regret by doing it. Guess i need to attend more workshop in order to cope this problem.. haha.
In this workshop I got some valuable tips in order to make myself get prepared when i have an interview in order to have a higher chance to get that job. I found that today's workshop give me a clearer picture of myself and I guess the COCA homework will do help me a lot in forcing me to think deeply how should I work towards my dreams/plan.
After attending this workshop, i found that i have brighten my path way towards my goal. Honestly, i scared to face failure, because i will always feel regret the decision that i have make instead of finding where are my mistakes. But, after having this course, make me have the confident to myself that failure is the beginning of growth, not the beginning of the end. i will try to make things done instead of making myself lost of direction. |

This is a definite course for those who hunger for a way to achieve their dreams. Many practical things are thought. As the courses goes by many thoughts and ideas for my dream came to my mind, the directions are so clear than before. Sadly, I wasn’t able to pass the interview (I would say that, this is my first interview I ever had in my life). After the interview session, I realized something, what if today I am going out, squeezing myself within the crowds of interviews. Am I going to get the job? I don’t even have a cert for the passport. Continuous improvement is an essential attitude for everyone to survive in this society.
Today, I’ve learned how to target effectively and achievable goal. Goals have to be specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time bounded. It doesn’t matter on how the process turned to be different than the usual plan, as long as we are able to achieve our main goal, it is mission accomplished. A motivation session was included the class. Using different point of views to see a failure, opportunities are created to ease the failure, in the end it might not be a failure at all.
Best Motivation? Definitely the “undying flame” that keeps on burning inside our hearts. Here I remembered the quote: common man with uncommon determination. With uncommon motivation will bring me to my destination. I always trust that with good attitudes will always bring good results. |
